The Sykesville Freedom District Fire Department has been asked to participate in a very important fund raiser, Nathan Chris Baker Day on Sunday November 4th, 2013 from 10am to 4pm at the Hopper Kidz Zone located at 5965 Exchange Drive, Sykesville, MD 21784.
This event is for a memorial fund raiser for Nathan Chris Baker, a five year old boy who tragically drowned in a lake last month. Nathan’s father is a Police Office with the Howard County Police department.
Howard County Police and the Sykesville Freedom District Fire Department will both have vehicles and equipment on display. There will also be food, games and fun activities for kids and adults.
Please stop by the event or contribute to the cause if you are able to. All proceeds from the event will go toward a playground for the Mechanicsville Elementary School.

Teltek has a close relationship with the SFDFD. Chris Nicoli of Teltek is a volunteer there and Teltek assisted the fire department by donating and installing an Avaya phone system in their temporary location after their station burned down in 2010.
